The Vidyalaya came into existence in the year 1971 in Defence Sector (Navy) in the Varunapuri Campus of INS Hansa, District-Murmugao in Goa State. Since then it has been steadily progressing. Now this is a 3 section school having classes I to XII (Science and Commerce at plus two level) with 38 class rooms, 3 Science laboratories, 3 Air Conditioned Computer Labs, 1 Audio-Visual room with LCD projector and AC, 1 Resource Room for Primary Classes, Guidance & Counseling Cell, a spacious and well ventilated Library & Reading room with 15,000 books and a Music Room with adequate number of musical instruments. The Vidyalaya has a well laid Volley ball court and a Basket Ball court. Training is imparted in Rope Skipping, Table- Tennis, Taekwondo, Cricket, Football, Kho-Kho, Basket-Ball and Athletics.
